pokAI reads and drafts — sending stays manual

Situation

Nelson debugged the TicTacToe diagonal win-check himself on 17 Aug (found a typo in his top-right diagonal method) and Alexandros signed it off the next morning. Work then paused for about a week while he onboarded onto a new project at work, but he came back on his own: videos done by 26 Aug, and on 28 Aug he shared a link to Program.cs in his Module-5 repo saying he'd commit as he goes. Alexandros put two open questions to him on Sunday morning — splitting UI into methods, and what happens when a user types a letter instead of a number — and those are still unanswered as of today.

Concerns

  • The commit signal and the WhatsApp evidence disagree: he linked a file in nmureire85/Module-5 on 28 Aug, but GitHub shows nothing from him in the window. Either that repo isn't being tracked or the file was pushed under a different identity — worth resolving before reading anything into 'no commits'.
  • Trello is effectively unmaintained (no current exercise, 74-day-old time entry), so there is no independent read on his pace.

Drafts

Edit freely, then copy. pokAI never sends anything — you paste it into WhatsApp yourself.

technical follow-up
why this, now

Puts his unanswered question back in front of him and ties it directly to the methods point Alexandros raised, so one reply covers both.

warm nudge
why this, now

Acknowledges that he restarted on his own, and asks for a push which also resolves whether his commits are visible to us at all.

accountability check
why this, now

He flagged the work project himself as the reason for the pause; naming the pace openly is better than waiting to see whether the gap repeats.

Open questions

What the data does not answer.

  • Is nmureire85/Module-5 linked to his mentoring GitHub account, and is it inside the repos being scanned?
  • Has he actually pushed anything since 28 Aug, or is the code still local?
  • How much time does the new work project leave him week to week now that onboarding is underway?
  • Did he see Sunday's two questions, and does he want to design the method split before writing more of the exercise?

Evidence

  • Debugged the diagonal win detection himself within 90 minutes of raising itWhatsApp 17 Aug 20:39 and 22:09
  • TicTacToe signed off by the coach and told to move to the next moduleWhatsApp 18 Aug 07:24 (COACH)
  • Roughly a week's pause on the exercise, self-explained as work onboarding rather than a blockerWhatsApp 20 Aug 10:40 ('Just doing some onboarding on new project... prioritising this')
  • Resumed without being chased: progressing through videos 23 Aug, method videos finished by 26 AugWhatsApp 23 Aug 14:41 and 26 Aug 21:26
  • Started exercise 6 / Module 5 and shared the working file, stating he'll commit incrementallyWhatsApp 28 Aug 16:25-16:26
  • Two coach questions from Sunday (methods extraction, non-numeric input handling) have had no reply yetWhatsApp 30 Aug 08:06-08:08
  • No commits attributed to him in the 21-day window; last tracked own commit is 1585 days ago in 1 repoGitHub
  • Trello has no current exercise set and the last self-reported time entry is 74 days oldTrello

The diagonal example is a bit confusing. I see 3 wins when i did the selection as 5-All lines.... but on close inspection, it considers the secondary diagonal from top right with 2222. Question is how did it also miss the opposite for this? So maybe could also be 4 wins? See screenshot...
  2. CLIENT Nelson Mureire 17 Aug 22:09
Ah! found the bug , i had this typo in Topright diagonal method:

  19. RAK Alexandros Kapniaris 30 Aug 08:06
hey there @CLIENT Nelson Mureire remember that it's important to also start splitting the code into methods now, right? So for example, displaying the grid can be a UI method, or getting an input can also be a UI method.
  20. RAK Alexandros Kapniaris 30 Aug 08:07
maybe its going to be helpful start adding these into methods from the start. what's your view?
  21. RAK Alexandros Kapniaris 30 Aug 08:08
Also, a question. Let's say that the user, instead of a number, provides a letter here
